What an AMAZING EARTH DAY BEACH CLEANUP!!
Just WOW! It was an AMAZING success with 307.5kg being picked up!! And this after arriving at a seamingly CLEAN beach!! (OH and let’s not forget the 4 tyres and about 5 pieces of wood with rusty nails!)
A huge THANK YOU must go to so many people!! (apologies if I miss someone!)
Thank you to my amazing partners, Pick n Pay People n Planet and Krispy Kreme South Africa and also to Blue Ribbon Bread!! Thanks to these amazing companies we were able to gift all our kids as well as our volunteer families with a Pick n Pay reusable shopping bag filled with a jungle energy bar, small Dettol hand sanitizer, bottled water, Simba chips, Squares from Blue Ribbon, a hot dog and a yummy Krispy Kreme donut!!
A HUGE thank must also go to my Cape West GIRL GUIDES SA family for coming out to support my Earth Day cleanup!! Earth Day holds a special place in my heart and I want to thank you for allowing me once again to run this event for the Region!!
Thank you also to volunteers from the Tygerberg Hills Lions Club, the Grace Presbyterian Church, students from Rosebank College, Cape Town and last but certainly not least, our SAF Brooklyn Cleanup Crew!!
In total we had over 250 volunteers today!!! How incredible is that??!!
Thank you also to Rebecca from Larkan Lion Photography for taking some beautiful photos for us!! Rebecca is a Ranger with De Grendel Rangers and is a very talented young photographer!!
Thanks again to Jetline Print on Demand, Century City for the sponsorship of our data collection cards!!
Thank you again so very much to everyone for your continued support!! Not just to me, but to helping keep our planet safe and litter free!!
I hope to see you all again soon!!
Love, Zoe
